Information about the vaccine is now available on Google without having to login to the
Tech
giant Google's services such as Search, Maps and Assistant will now
display more helpful information on the availability of the Covid-19
vaccine. Google has been collaborating with the Ministry of Health and
Family Welfare since March this year to display information about the
Kovid-19 vaccination centers. But from now on, more information like
slot availability, vaccine dose and vaccine price will be displayed in
Google search, maps and assistant services.
Google claims that this will help people to easily access information and get vaccinated as soon as possible without logging in to the Covin platform. More information is displayed when customers search for vaccine centers using Google Search, Maps, or Voice Assistant. The availability of Covid-19 vaccine slots at each center will display information on whether there is a paid vaccine or free, as well as a link to the Covin website.
In addition to English, the information is available in eight languages, including Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu. Google has made it clear that Covin takes live data from APIs and therefore displays the latest information. Google says it will work with the Covin team to add information about more immunization centers to the database across India.
