Types of face mask

FACE MASK

    A face mask is any device that you wear over your face ,for 
     -preventing yourself from breathing bad air or
     -prevent you from spreading germs or
     -or protect your face when you are working in dangerous situations.

When to wear a mask?

• You are a health care provider
• or you are sick or treating a sick person
• or the doctor prescribed you to wear a mask
• to protect yourself from extreme pollution or dust     

How to Properly wear Face mask

    -Cover nose and mouth

    -Put on by holding the sides of the mask

    -Surgical masks should not be reused

   

*do not touch the face of the mask while putting on.

Types of Face Mask

• Cloth masks
• Surgical Masks
• N95 Masks   

Cloth Masks(reusable mask)

Cloth masks made from cotton or any similar woven fabric should
be considered. It can be used by all , except little kids below 
2 year   and those with breathing disorders.  It can be reused , it should be   properly washed and dried under sunlight properly before reuse.

 Surgical Masks

Surgical face masks are made with non-woven fabric, which has better bacteria filteration and air permeability .

 3 Layers 
    -Outer Layer    : fluid repellant
    -Middle Layer  : barrier to micro organism entry
    -Inner Layer     : moisture absorbant.     
   *Dispose off after use

 N95 Masks

  This is a mask which is only recommended for helth workers or        those working in hazardous conditions ,it is reusable with filters     ,which is replaced frequently.it should be tightly fitted to face .

 -it is specially designed to filter airborne particles





*surgical masks and  N95 masks should be worn by health workers
