Easily Apply For Driver's License Online through Parivahan
It is very difficult to get a learner's license or to go to the RTO office for a new driving license. But did you know that the Central Government has set up an online portal to do all the services related to license application such as change of address and renewal online?
You can easily renew your driving license or apply for a new license through this website. Before applying for a new driver's license, there are some things you need to know. First, you need to apply for a Learner's License. Once your learner's license expires, you can apply for a driver's license. You also need to pass a driving test to get your license.
- Open 'https://parivahan.gov.in/parivahan//en/content/mparivahan#' on your computer
- Click on 'Online Services' and then on 'Driving License Related Services'
- Select your state from the drop-down menu that appears
- Select 'Apply for Learner's License' (If you choose to perform eKYC with an Aadhaar card, you do not need to visit the RTO office to take the test. You can take a Learner's license test from your home)
- Click on Aadhaar Authentication and enter your Aadhaar number or virtual ID. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter that too.
- The information from the Aadhaar card will be automatically redirected to a completed page.
- Complete the form by providing the type of vehicle, whether your license has been revoked, revoked or suspended.
- After this, it will redirect you to the payment. Complete the payment. Download the slip and then book the Learner License slot.
- For the online test, you will receive login details via SMS on your registered phone number. For the offline test, you need to visit the RTO office and take the test.
If you pass the test, you can download the Learner's License by clicking on the Print Learner's license option in the Learner's drop-down menu.
You can apply for a driver's license at the end of the term by obtaining a learner's license and the necessary training. To do this, open the Parivahan website itself and apply for a driving license under the online service. Select the state and proceed with the Learner License details. Follow the instructions to complete and submit the application.
